Mount Bannon is a 10,971-foot peak in Wyoming’s Teton Range, rising west above Death Canyon along the boundary between Caribou-Targhee National Forest and Grand Teton National Park. Located in one of the central sections of the range, it stands within the steep, glaciated landscape that defines the Tetons. The mountain is named for Thomas M. Bannon, and its significance lies in both that naming and its place within a dramatic setting of protected public lands and rugged relief.
