High Roller is a giant Ferris wheel on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada, owned by Caesars Entertainment and built as the centerpiece of the LINQ development. Rising 550 feet and measuring 520 feet across, it became the world’s tallest Ferris wheel when it opened on March 31, 2014, and held that record until 2021. Engineered by Arup, it uses massive bearings, a 28-section rim, and 28 motorized cabins that remain level as the wheel turns. Carrying up to 1,120 passengers on a 30-minute revolution, it serves as a slow observation ride, while its 2,000-LED lighting system makes it a major nighttime landmark on the Strip.
