The Posey County Soldiers and Sailors Memorial was dedicated on July 23, 1908, to the soldiers and sailors of Posey County and honored patriotism that readily responds to the country’s call, deep reverence for the laws, decent respect for the rights of others, and sincere love of justice, truth, and country as the best safeguards of a nation’s peace.
