Fletcher Peak is an 11,410-foot summit in Yosemite National Park's Cathedral Range, south of Tuolumne Meadows. Near Tuolumne Pass, Vogelsang Peak, and Parsons Peak, it rises sharply above Fletcher Lake, with runoff draining south through Fletcher Creek to the Merced River. The mountain lies in an alpine climate shaped by Pacific weather systems lifted over the Sierra Nevada, bringing rain and snow. Its name derives from Fletcher Creek and Fletcher Lake, named in 1895 by Lieutenant Nathaniel Fish McClure for Arthur G. Fletcher, who directed fish stocking in Yosemite. Once known as Baker Peak, the summit received its official present name in 1932.
