The Detroit United Railway interurban line from Detroit stopped at Troy Corners, and interurban cars carried farm produce and milk to markets. Local residents such as George Maitrott, Jessie Aspinwall, and Rev. Balgooyan rode the interurban for quick trips to Royal Oak or full days of shopping in Detroit.
