Ladd Peak is a 12,967-foot mountain in Wyoming’s Wind River Range, in the Bridger Wilderness near Gannett Peak and the Continental Divide. It is known for its dramatic relief, rising nearly 3,600 feet above the Green River headwaters in just 1.25 miles, with a 4,500-foot rise above Three Forks Park that is described as the largest in the range. Runoff from the mountain feeds the upper Green River basin. First climbed in 1921 by William S. Ladd, Evans Clark, Freda Kirchwey, and Adolf Schultz, it later lent its name to Ladd, a prominent mountaineer, and remains a rugged alpine summit with significant natural hazards.
