Josephine Ogle was a lifelong resident of Vevay, Indiana, a member of the Vevay Presbyterian Church, married to August Mead, and an employee of Silgas, Inc. She was the sister of Paul Ogle, philanthropist and founder of the Paul W. Ogle Foundation, which has provided generous support for the southeastern Indiana region.
