Wayfarers State Park is a 67-acre public recreation area on the shore above Flathead Lake just south of Bigfork in northwestern Montana. Its pine and fir landscape, seasonal wildflowers, and broad lake views make it both scenic and useful, with facilities for campers, boaters, and anglers including 30 campsites and a boat ramp. In 1998, the Harry Horn Native Plant Garden was created here for botanical education, featuring native flowers such as arrowleaf balsamroot, indian paintbrush, silky lupine, and death camas. The park also supports cycling and paddling recreation, including plans announced in 2016 for a bicycle campground and the annual Northern Rockies Paddlefest.
