Men of Bloom Township entered their country's service to fight in World War 1917-1918, including Ralph Hickle, who died in service. The community also honored the men and women who served in World War II, including Ogle Doss, Thane Hecox, Jr., and Earl Walker, who died in service. Later additions paid tribute to Bloom Township men and women who served their country in peacetime and war, including James Blackwell, Clarence McCafferty, and Rodney Stevens, who was killed in action.
