Constructed in 1904 at a cost of $50,000, the L.E. Jones Mansion was designed by Smith and Gage Architects of Des Moines for the Jones family. Sheathed in Indiana limestone, its three stories feature solid mahogany and oak woodwork inside, imported Italian stained glass, and a Steuben glass chandelier. It has served as both a Masonic Lodge and a private residence.
