Brown Deer Park Golf Course is a public Milwaukee County course on Milwaukee’s northwest side, known for its tree-lined layout, deep rough, and stronger challenge than many municipal courses. Designed in 1929 by George Hanson and later partially redesigned, it is also tied to the early era of county park golf through its historic clubhouse. Nationally, it became best known as the final home of Milwaukee’s long-running PGA Tour stop, the U.S. Bank Championship in Milwaukee, from 1994 to 2009. Its most famous moment came in 1996, when Tiger Woods made his professional debut there and recorded a hole-in-one.
