Luther D. Wishard was a student in Hanover from 1872 to 1875 and a founder of world movements including the Intercollegiate Young Men’s Christian Association, the Intercollegiate Young Women’s Christian Association, and the Foreign Work Young Men’s Christian Association. In Hanover he found his first vision of, and experience in, the Young Men’s Christian Association. Through Luther Wishard’s life and work, Hanover lives and works greatly on every continent.
