Ragged Peak
Nature
Ragged Peak is a distinct mountain landmark in Yosemite National Park’s Tuolumne Meadows area, rising on an isolated summit south of the Young Lakes region and north of Lembert Dome and Dog Lake. Set apart from the higher surrounding country, it stands out as the most prominent feature on its ridge and offers broad views of the southwest face of Mount Conness. About 4 miles north of Tioga Road, it is valued not only for its visibility in the landscape but also as a climbing destination, with routes ranging from easier class 2 and 3 approaches to technical class 5 climbs on several faces.
