Eight Ball was a morale officer and drinking buddy who, while on duty, drank beer, was full of good cheer, and went to the nurses' quarters around the bend. Unaware of the colonel and the jealousy of a rival, he ate the nurses' underwear and came to an untimely end, remembered with a wish that he rest in peace.
