2004 Bicentennial Raft
History
On March 13, 2004, an authentic timber raft measuring 28 feet by 110 feet launched from this point for a 26-mile journey through the county to below Shawville. The raft, including a cabin, was built by over 100 volunteers using logs supplied by Robbins Lumber, Olanta. Richard Hughes and Gary Gilmore piloted the raft.
