Swasey Mountain forms the northern section of Utah’s House Range in northwestern Millard County, extending at its far northern end into southern Juab County. Rising between Tule Valley and the Sevier Desert, with the Drum Mountains to the northeast, it has a distinctive L-shaped outline created by a long north-trending ridge and an east-west southern massif. Its highest point, Swasey Peak, reaches 9,673 feet, and Tatow Knob rises to 8,416 feet farther north. Named for rancher Charles Swasey, the mountain connects southward to Middle Ridge and stands at a junction of valleys, passes, and neighboring ranges in the remote western Utah desert.
