From 1961 to 1975, the Vietnam War took the lives of Vance County, NC, service members Ronnie S. Adcox of the Marines, Clarence R. Brame of the Army, Grady I. Carriker of the Army, William C. Clay III of the Marines, Donald A. Joyner of the USAF, Henry T. Leonard of the Army, Robert L. Perry of the Army, and Phillip E. Taylor of the Army, remembered here as having given their lives in defense of freedom for God and country.
