Mount Geduhn is an 8,379-foot peak in the Livingston Range of Glacier National Park, set in a rugged high alpine landscape shaped by severe weather. It was named for Frank Geduhn, an early pioneer in the Lake McDonald area who, before 1900, kept visitor cabins at the head of the lake and guided Sperry parties into the surrounding country. The mountain’s name reflects the early period of tourism and exploration in the region before it became a national park. Its alpine subarctic climate brings long, very cold winters, short cool to mild summers, and extreme winter temperatures and wind chills common at Glacier’s higher elevations.
