In Kalispell, Montana, a restored Central School building serves as both a preserved landmark and a home for regional history centered on the Flathead Valley and northwest Montana. Operated by the Northwest Montana Historical Society, the museum occupies a four-story, stone-and-brick Richardsonian Romanesque structure built in 1894 and renovated in the late 1990s.
