Murphy’s Saloon was started circa 1866 by Irish miner Bernard Murphy, who had lived in Yankee Jim’s and Iowa Hill. The business endured the fire of 1879 and has been known as “The Pastime” since 1925. Present owners are Harry and Elvira Bianchi.
