Table Top Mountain is one of the Adirondack High Peaks in northeastern New York, rising 4,427 feet in the town of Keene within Adirondack Park and ranking nineteenth in height among the High Peaks. Its broad, level appearance inspired the name "Table Top," first printed in 1876. The mountain’s documented human history begins in the Adirondacks’ logging era, when Jim Suitor of the J. & J. Rogers Company made the earliest recorded ascent in 1911 during timber operations. Later better known for recreation and conservation, Table Top is now a destination for hikers, reached by an unmarked path to a wooded summit with nearby partial views toward Mount Marcy and surrounding peaks.
