Condemned to death by the N.Y. Assembly, Robert Cochran fought the Yorkers for Vermont land grants. After joining the Green Mt. Boys, he served with Ethan Allen at Ticonderoga and Seth Warner at Crown Point. He later commanded Continental forces in the Mohawk Valley campaigns and undertook dangerous espionage duties in Canada for the American cause.
