Born in 1950 in Monroe, Louisiana, Doug Duffey said, "I didn't choose the Blues, the Blues chose me." A member of the Louisiana, NELA, and National Blues Halls of Fame, he became a recording artist for Capitol, EMI, Warner, and Motown and headlined festivals and music venues worldwide. He has written songs for, performed with, and recorded with George Clinton, Bernie Worrell, P-Funk, Rare Earth, Keith Richards, Nicky Hopkins, Lil' Queenie, Marcia Ball, Maceo Parker, Jerry Beach, and Dan Sumner.
