Blue Lake Peak is a 7,808-foot summit in Washington’s North Cascades, in the Okanogan–Wenatchee National Forest near the line between Okanogan and Chelan counties. Rising steeply above Early Winters Creek and visible from the North Cascades Highway at the Blue Lake Trailhead, it stands near Blue Lake, Stiletto Peak, Liberty Bell Mountain, and Washington Pass. Its slopes drain toward both the Chelan and Methow river systems. The peak is part of a rugged landscape formed by tectonic, volcanic, and later Pleistocene glacial forces. In this maritime-influenced climate, heavy winter snowfall is common, while July through September offer the best viewing and climbing conditions.
