Built in 1960 as the Ursuline Teaching Institute, this was the first college building. Its flat roof was replaced in the 1980s, and the entire building was expanded and renovated in 2016-17. It is a multi-purpose facility that now serves as office space for Chatfield staff and as a student lounge and gathering space. The bas-relief sculpture on the front of the building, created by Agatha Fitzgerald, OSU, depicts Julia Chatfield and the Cross in the Wilderness and won the Ohio Memory project award from the Ohio Historical Society in 2014.
