Kaweah Queen is a summit in California’s Sequoia National Park, located on the Kaweah Peaks Ridge along the Great Western Divide in the Sierra Nevada. It is one of the prominent high peaks that form this rugged crest west of the main Sierra crest. The mountain stands in an alpine climate zone where Pacific storms are forced upward by the range, dropping rain and snow that shape the harsh high-mountain environment. Its importance lies less as a solitary peak than as part of the broader Kaweah Peaks Ridge landscape, a dramatic backcountry mountain area within the park.
