Mesa Arch is a natural stone pothole arch on the eastern edge of the Island in the Sky mesa in Canyonlands National Park in southeastern Utah. Perched at a cliff rim, it frames expansive canyon views that include Monster Tower, Washer Woman Arch, Airport Tower, and the distant La Sal Mountains. The arch’s compact shape set against the vast open landscape makes it one of the park’s most striking viewpoints. A relatively easy trail about half a mile long from the park road has made it one of the more accessible natural features in the Island in the Sky district. The area has a cold semi-arid climate with low annual precipitation and generally light winter snowfall.
