Nature
Field Farm is a 316-acre former farm and nature preserve in Williamstown, Massachusetts, managed by the Trustees of Reservations as both a protected landscape and a cultural property. Its 4.5 miles of trails cross swamp land, a pond, and the Caves Lot, where water carved underground channels into limestone. The site also includes a sculpture garden and notable modernist architecture, including an International Style house by Edwin Goodell completed in 1948 and The Folly, a guest house by Ulrich Franzen finished in 1966. Eleanore Bloedel donated the property in 1984, linking it to Lawrence Bloedel’s art collection and loans displayed there.
