Washburne State Wayside was a small Oregon state park about four miles northwest of Junction City on the Lane-Benton county line. Acquired by the state in 1926 from William C. and Mae E. Washburne, it was managed by the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department as both a day-use stop on Oregon Route 99W and an interpretive site about the Applegate Trail. For many years it included picnic tables, a restroom, a nature trail through second-growth Douglas fir forest, and interpretive features. Once open year-round and drawing about 131,000 visits annually, the site later passed into private ownership, and its large trees were logged.
