Nancy Greene Provincial Park, in British Columbia’s West Kootenay region at the junction of Highway 3 and Highway 3B, lies near Rossland and Castlegar and takes its name from Olympic downhill skiing medallist Nancy Greene, who was born in Rossland. The park is centered on simple outdoor recreation, offering camping, canoeing, fishing, swimming, cross-country skiing, and a short hiking trail. Its small campground includes 10 parking-lot-style sites and one walk-in tent site above the beach, with additional space for extra vehicles and larger rigs. A quiet lakeside atmosphere is maintained by seasonal wildlife patterns, leash rules for pets, and a ban on power boats.
