Blackfoot Mountain
Nature
Blackfoot Mountain is a 9,579-foot peak in the Lewis Range of Glacier National Park in Montana. It rises beside two major ice features, with Blackfoot Glacier to the north and the stagnant Pumpelly Glacier immediately to the east and northeast. This area forms one of the park’s most heavily glaciated high-country landscapes, and Blackfoot Glacier ranks among the largest glaciers in Glacier National Park. Together, the mountain and its neighboring glaciers create a prominent alpine landmark in this part of the park.
