Pumpkin Glacier is a small glacier in Montana’s Glacier National Park, just west of the Continental Divide. It lies northeast of Blackfoot Mountain beside Pumpelly Glacier, with crevasses separating the two ice bodies. Pumpkin Glacier covers about 35 acres and sits at elevations between roughly 8,500 and 8,000 feet above sea level. Together, Pumpkin and Pumpelly Glaciers covered 310 acres in 2005, reflecting a 15 percent reduction in area since 1966.
