Fremont Peak is a mountain in northern Arizona in the San Francisco Peaks of Coconino National Forest and within the Kachina Peaks Wilderness. It is the third highest point in the state. The summit honors John C. Frémont, the explorer and Civil War general who later served as governor of Arizona Territory from 1878 to 1882. Around Flagstaff, the mountain is easily recognized as the pointed peak on the right and is known for year-round views to the south.
