Families who lost one or more loved ones in the Armed Forces of the United States of America are honored here. One panel depicts their homeland, the United States of America. A second represents the families of fallen heroes. A third signifies patriots, the youth of America who volunteer to serve, protect others, and give others freedom they never knew, while a cutout represents the missing family member who died in the Armed Forces and made the ultimate sacrifice of life for peace and freedom. A fourth depicts sacrifice, the loss of loved ones who gave their lives to preserve rights, liberties, and the American flag under which they served. The monument was designed by Blackwood Associates, Inc.
