J.B. Tolbert, M.D., practiced medicine in Mountain View from July 1947 until his death in July 1988 and was recognized for many years of faithful service to the town. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma school of Medicine in 1943 and served in the U.S. Army from 1944 until 1946. He was a long-time member of the Rotary Club and the Masonic Lodge, served on the school board, and was a former Mayor of Mountain View.
