Gilbert W. Knight was a blacksmith and a G.A.R. veteran who served in the New Jersey 23rd Volunteer Regiment. His son, Harry L. Knight, was born July 4, 1866, and later served as Burlington County Clerk and on the New Jersey Public Utilities Commission.
