The Museum of the Creative Process in Manchester, Vermont, on the grounds of the Wilburton Inn, was founded and directed by Albert Levis, M.D., as a museum and learning center centered on the idea that creativity can help resolve conflict. Its permanent displays draw on Levis’s research into the creative process as a physiological response to stress and use art and interpretive installations to examine unconscious dynamics, emotional development, and patterns of conflict and resolution. Core exhibits include the Gorski Retrospective, the Sculptural Trail, the Metaphoria Murals, and the Wizard and Wisdom Collection. Traveling exhibitions across New England extended this approach beyond the museum itself.
