Esmeralda Peaks is a 6,765-foot multi-summit mountain in the Teanaway area of the Wenatchee Mountains in central Washington, in Kittitas County on Wenatchee National Forest land. East of the Cascade crest, it sits in a somewhat drier part of the range, with warm summers that can bring thunderstorms and cloudier winters, while summer high pressure over the Pacific often brings clearer skies. Its runoff flows into tributaries of the Teanaway River, linking it to the eastern Cascades watershed. The mountain’s name also appeared as Esmerelda Peaks, but Esmeralda became the official form in 1966.
