Slaughter Creek Wilderness is a 3,901-acre protected wilderness area in the far northwestern corner of Washington County, Utah, near the Nevada state line. Established on March 30, 2009, under the Omnibus Public Land Management Act of 2009, it preserves much of the Slaughter Creek watershed, whose flow supports the perennial streams of Beaver Dam Wash. The area adjoins other protected lands, including Doc's Pass Wilderness to the south and Cougar Canyon Wilderness to the west. Its importance lies in safeguarding a relatively undisturbed part of this desert drainage system within the federal wilderness system.
