Isaac Rainey, a Revolutionary veteran buried in his family plot, was born in Orange Co., N.C., Jan. 12, 1763. He fought as a volunteer infantryman at Guilford Courthouse and elsewhere. A member of the North Carolina House of Commons in 1809-10 and 1814, he came here in 1823 and died in 1826.
