Moosalamoo National Recreation Area is a protected recreation area in Vermont in the northern half of the Green Mountain National Forest between Middlebury and Brandon. One of only two national recreation areas in the forest, it covers 15,875 acres surrounding Mount Moosalamoo. Established by the New England Wilderness Act of 2006 and administered by the U.S. Forest Service, it set aside a substantial stretch of the Green Mountains for public recreation under federal management centered on the landscape around Mount Moosalamoo.
