Dr. H. W. Fraley, known as "Doc," came to Leechburg in 1938 and devoted many years of volunteer service to the community. He saw the town's potential beauty, and this park and most of the trees in town stand as a living testimony to his vision and foresight. With the help of many hard-working volunteers, that vision became reality.
