Bernice State Park is an 88-acre state park in northeastern Oklahoma at the northwestern corner of Grand Lake o’ the Cherokees near Bernice. Long known for fishing and called the “Crappie Capital of the World,” it draws anglers for crappie as well as largemouth bass, white bass, channel catfish, and bluegill. The park also offers RV and tent camping, picnic and swimming areas, a playground, and a boat ramp with a courtesy dock. A prominent nature center highlights indigenous wildlife through exhibits, an aquarium, tours, and a full-time naturalist, while a paved accessible path and wildlife watch towers support recreation and nature observation.
