Brimfield State Forest is a protected area in and around Brimfield, Massachusetts, managed by the Department of Conservation and Recreation. Shown as a state park, it combines woodland trails with the waterside facilities of Dean Pond Recreation Area. More than 20 miles of roads and trails support hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, and cross-country skiing, while Dean Pond offers a swimming beach, picnic grounds, accessible restrooms, fishing, and shoreline access. Restricted hunting is also permitted. After a 2011 tornado closed Dean Pond Recreation Area for two years, it reopened in 2013 and continues as the forest’s main center for recreation.
