Men and women of this community served in World War I from 1917 to 1918 and in World War II from 1941 to 1945 in the effort to preserve the freedoms of humanity for all ages to come; among those from World War II, Woodrow W. Gilbert, Ralph E. Fleck, and Russell E. Kulp were killed in action.
