The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum in Simi Valley serves as the library for the fortieth president of the United States and the burial site of Ronald and Nancy Reagan. Opened in 1991 under the National Archives and Records Administration, it combines a major research archive with a public museum tracing Reagan’s life from childhood through his presidency. Its extensive holdings include presidential papers, photographs, film, and audio and video recordings. Designed by Hugh Stubbins in a Spanish Mission style, the site also features the Air Force One Pavilion, which displays SAM 27000, along with other artifacts, outdoor exhibits, and memorial elements tied to Reagan’s legacy.
