The Old Dominion Mine was a historic copper mine that included the Globe ledge silver claims, discovered in 1873 and the first in the Globe-Miami district to yield profitable ore. The Old Dominion also included many other early claims. Production ceased in the 30s because of subterranean flooding and the lowered price of copper.
