Conway Cemetery State Park in Lafayette County, Arkansas, preserves the Conway family homesite and cemetery near Bradley. Its chief significance is as the burial place of James Sevier Conway, Arkansas's first governor, and his wife, Mary J. Conway, as well as other prominent early political figures including U.S. Senator Ambrose Hundley Sevier. The site reflects the influence of the Conway-Johnson family from territorial days through the Civil War and connects to James S. Conway's role in shaping basic state institutions after statehood. Protected beginning in 1975 and added to the state park system in 1986, it remains chiefly a memorial landscape rather than a recreational park.
