Hunsecker's Mill Covered Bridge spans the Conestoga River west of Hunsecker in Lancaster County, carrying a narrow rural road between Upper Leacock and Manheim townships. Built in 1843 by John Russell, it became the county’s longest single-span covered bridge at 180 feet and used a wooden double Burr arch truss, a hallmark of longer Pennsylvania covered bridges. Flooding destroyed the bridge more than once, most notably when Hurricane Agnes swept it from its abutments in 1972. Rebuilt in 1973 in the same basic form, it remains a working road bridge and is unusually known for horizontal floorboards that make crossings vibrate and feel bumpy.
