Pleasant Mountain, a prominent landmark in western Maine, rises 2,006 feet and straddles the towns of Bridgton and Denmark. Its north slope includes the highest point in Cumberland County. More than 2,000 acres on the mountain’s east side are owned and managed by Loon Echo Land Trust, which also maintains a 10-mile trail network there. On the north side, Pleasant Mountain Ski Area helps make the mountain a year-round destination for hiking and winter recreation.
